Spring Wellness Highlight – ActiveCare Medical Clinics

As the days grow longer and the temperatures rise, spring is a time of renewal and fresh beginnings. At ActiveCare, we’re here to help you embrace the season in good health. In this edition of our newsletter, we’ll be covering essential tips for managing seasonal allergies, and promoting our overall health and aesthetic wellness.

Seasonal Allergies: Breathe Easy This Spring

Spring’s beauty comes with a challenge for many—seasonal allergies. If you find yourself dealing with sneezing, congestion, itchy eyes, or fatigue, consider the following:

Reduce exposure – Keep windows closed during high pollen days and use an air purifier indoors.

Rinse off allergens – Shower and change clothes after spending time outdoors to remove pollen.

Stay informed – Check daily pollen forecasts and plan outdoor activities accordingly.

Consider treatment – Over-the-counter antihistamines, nasal sprays, and allergy shots (if recommended) can provide relief.

Caution with Decongestants: Warn against using decongestants for more than 3-5 days to avoid dependence and rebound symptoms.

Allergist Consultation: Should your allergies be persistent or difficult to manage, an allergist consultation could be helpful in confirming allergies and offering desensitization treatments, including lesser-known sublingual tablet options.

If allergies are interfering with your daily life, we’re happy to discuss personalized treatment options to help you feel your best.

Spring Highlight on Wellness – ActiveCare Medical Aesthetics:

April is Rosacea Awareness Month: Understanding & Treating Rosacea

Rosacea is a common skin condition that causes facial redness, visible blood vessels, and sometimes acne-like bumps. It can be triggered by heat, sun exposure, spicy foods, alcohol, and stress. While rosacea has no cure, there are effective ways to manage it:

Protect your skin – Use a gentle, fragrance-free cleanser and a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen daily.

Avoid known triggers – Keep a record of common symptom triggers such as heat, sun exposure, various foods etc.

Explore treatment options – Prescription creams, laser therapy including our ActiveCare Aesthetics Elite iQ laser treatment.

If rosacea is affecting your confidence or comfort, ActiveCare Medical Aesthetics can offer personalized treatment plans to help you achieve clearer, healthier skin.
